It snowed seven inches between last Friday and Saturday.
So, there was really only one thing we could do.
Shred some powder.
When we started wedding planning, I was adamant that we keep things as simple as possible. But, my sister and mom wanted to plan a bridal shower for me… and I have trouble saying no. Plus, they made great points like, “gifts,” and “since you’re not having a reception…” so I gave in.
But, on the condition that it would be a wedding shower. That way Gary could feel my pain and stand beside me.
Do we get a point for double C’s? What about for driving three hours to go see a concert on a Wednesday night?
I will say this… we loved going to a concert for our C date.
Roses are red, lead is gray, Gary is colorblind… I love him anyway.
When brainstorming for date ideas, we didn’t even consider Valentine’s day as a date option. Instead, we thought of doing volunteer work. (Which is still a great idea). But we had Valentine’s plans, so I thought, why not.
1 year! 1 year! 1 year! This is a huge milestone for me–it has officially been my longest relationship (by about six months) and I’m excited for it to last for eternity!

When Gary and I were creating our own list of alphabet dates, Y was actually one of the first letters I filled. I love yoga and have been trying to convince Gary to come to a class with me for a while. So when the opportunity for him to come came, you bet your booty I took it.
Planning a wedding as a full-time student equates to full-time stress. Our wedding is the day after our semester ends… the week of finals. It’s fine, I’m fine.
